By now I've been in Berlin for a week, this being the final day we're staying here. It's been awesome! We're staying in a spacious apartment in the East that's pretty central etc, etc. We've had weather ranging from baking hot days to stormy evenings with thunder, lightning and hail stones bigger than grapes. In my time here I have...
Browsed the Mauer park market and bought lots of novelty earrings (cutlery, lemons, ketchup bottles); been to the Brandenburg gate; seen Mr Short just the once; been to a few museums, my favourite among these the German film museum which documents, most notably, the early German expressionist movement with the actual robot used in Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis' (those who know me will know how cool I found this); seen a long preserved stretch of the Berlin wall; been locked in a vintage clothes shop by a window cleaner; eaten German cuisine like wiener schnitzel, curry wurst, sour kraut etc; seen a man dressed as a 17th century Prussian soldier dancing and playing the flute (anyone whose seen 'Anchorman', imagine the jazz flute sequence and you'll get the idea- if not, look it up anyway); been all around the city on a bus; been up the glass dome of the modern Reichstag; read lots; seen a man make his homemade human-size robot dance, cross its legs, tip its hat, drink and spit out water; walked around palaces in the sweltering heat; had an accordionist play up and down our street at the same time everyday; been to the oldest beer garden in the country; and had a German man buy me a box of strawberry sweets randomly while shopping for juice on my own (I couldn't understand him so I never found out why exactly- they were damn tasty though).
So yeah, I've done/seen quite a bit. Again, I've ended up rambling, so sorry for that! I'll most likely post something at some point in Brussels (we're only there for 4 days, so you can rest assured that I'll have less to say)
Anyway, wishing all a happy Olympics and remainder of summer!!

"So what you need to do is list movies that you love/ used to love/ was in your childhood/ or just leave a mark on who you are today. :) Tell a brief story why these are your favorites!
There are no rules for this, you can set it up to your number one fav to your least fav, or least to number one, or just however you want!"
Sorry if this proves to be a very long list! I've got a lot of love for films.
If I try to write an explanation for each this'll end up being an essay. If you're interested in any you can ask after them. :)
In no particular order:
1. Mulan
2. The Emperor's New Groove
3. Yell
Feeling festive!
Is early November too early to be feeling super festive and psyched for Christmas?
Because it just hit me that I'm really really excited!
Just the thought of buying people thoughtful presents and maybe getting a few in return and being all jolly and stuff is making me really happy and smiley and ahhh!!!
I don't think the sugar rush from my wagon wheel can have helped either.
